Discover the beauty of traditional Korean ink painting in a calm and inspiring studio in Amsterdam.
In this class, you'll learn the foundations of Sumukhwa (Korean ink painting) through traditional techniques, mindful brushwork, and the philosophy behind the art. More than learning how to paint, you'll experience a slower way of seeing, breathing, and creating.
Each session begins with a short meditation and breathing exercise, followed by line practice that helps develop concentration, balance, and confidence with the brush. Step by step, you'll create your own ink paintings while exploring the aesthetics of simplicity, nature, and harmony.
No previous experience is required. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced artist, you'll receive personal guidance in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
What you'll experience
Traditional Korean ink painting techniques
Mindful breathing and meditation
Brush control and expressive line practice
Korean aesthetics and artistic philosophy
A peaceful and memorable cultural experience
